The number of participating teams will be increased to 16 teams, divided into two pools A and B. What is Yuva Kabaddi Series (YKS)
Yuva Kabaddi Series is a youth kabaddi tournament organized by the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI). KMP YKS IDYL 2023 Points System
The point system of Yuva Kabaddi Series is similar to the point system used in other kabaddi tournaments. At the end of 40 minutes match, the team with the highest number of points is declared the winner. The following are the point system of Yuva Kabaddi Series:
Win with score difference > 7 points | Winning team: 6 points; Losing team: 0 points |
Win with score difference ≤ 7 points | Winning team: 5 points; Losing team: 1 point |
Tie (non-knockout matches) | Both teams: 3 points each |
- Standings on the points table will be displayed as Points and will get sorted according to Points to define the position in the points table.
- The Points table does reset after every round.
- At the end of every round, teams that have qualified get points that get carried forward to the next round.
- The team that finishes 1st will get 6 points as carry forwarded points, the team that finishes 2nd will get 5 points, the team that finishes 3rd will get 4 points, the team that finishes 4th will get 3 points, the team that finishes 5th will get 2 points, the team that finishes 6th will get 1 point, the team that finishes 7th and 8th will get 0 points.
- As per the position finished in rounds, the teams will start with that many carry forwarded points in the next round.
- The first tiebreaker is the win percentage for each team, calculated as the number of wins divided by the total number of games played.
- The second tiebreaker is the score difference calculated as the score difference of all teams in the Points table.
- The third tiebreaker is the total score in the tournament.
- The fourth tiebreaker is the toss.
